Of course, it’s all about you, it’s your big day and you want one to remember. Have you thought about what your guests will remember? The weather? The quirky photographer? The dress?
For many guests its probably going to be the food and the funny.
Food wise, you can sample the menu; the canapes, the wedding breakfast and those scrumptious nibbles mid-way through the evening all well in advance.
The funny, well that’s your entertainment. How during the evening- after the meal, (and especially if you have more guests joining in the evening) they connect with each other? Your family, your friends, your partners family and friends. Whether you have thirty or three hundred guests. No doubt these folks have come from near and far to be there and share your day. To be part of your special memories.
Veil and Verse creates bespoke poetry for weddings and other special occasions, from witty ceremony poems to personalize favor rhymes for each individual guest. The goal is to provide you with a timeless and unique piece of poetry that you can treasure forever, long after your wedding day. Rachel, the owner of Veil and Verse has been a writer for several years, but it was through her own wedding planning experience that her business was born.
Why I Started Veil and Verse
I started Veil and Verse whilst planning my own wedding; I scrolled through countless poems on Google for an entire Sunday afternoon and found nothing that was personal to me and my fiance. At the time, my baby daughter Willow was three months old and she was cooing away happily in her chair. It suddenly struck me that I could write a poem about her for our wedding; it seemed so much more personal to us. My bespoke poem was a hit with family and friends, so Veil and Verse quickly became my new baby!
I’m more than pleased to present you with my photo on the cover of the national wedding magazine To Have & To Hold!
Another amazing wedding in our portfolio, this time its Shruti and Robin. What a beautiful loved up couple! One of those you could mistake for professional models, both totally awesome in front of the camera, so natural and just simply great looking. Being a wedding photographer means I get to witness people glowing with happiness. Yes, it is the real thing!
Hello, I’m Jordan
I’m 22 and live in the beautiful seaside town, Ilfracombe, North Devon I left school with one GCSE pass in English. I was bullied throughout most of the secondary school, had very little confidence, and had no idea what I was going to do once I had left. I went to my local college, Petroc, with still no idea, until I was sent on a work placement to work in a local pub, it was then I realized that I was quite interested in bar work, and was really enjoying it, after a few weeks. Nick, the landlord sent me off to take my personal bar license exam, it was the best thing anyone could of done for me, I passed it, and for once felt quite confident.
Absolutely beautiful and emotional wedding of Colm and Adriano must be one of my best yet. The joy of Love winning above everything else made this day very, very special for everybody. The fantastic location also helped produce lovely wedding photographs and capture the atmosphere of that magical day. For more information and photos of the Andaz Hotel please follow the link. The staff were very helpful and professional and this is all you need to make sure your wedding day will be stress-free, and exactly as you planned.

I started making cakes for all my friends and families occasions and then people kept saying you should do this as a business …. and now here we are!
I absolutely love weddings, I never get bored of talking about them and it’s such an honor when someone chooses you to make their wedding cake!I’m passionate about creating personal cakes that taste amazing – to me it has to taste as good as it looks – there is nothing better than to see people comment on how the cake looks and then to watch how much they enjoy it when they taste it, it makes all those hours of work so worthwhile!

My latest wedding couple could not have been more lucky with the weather on their big day! We had an absolutely gorgeous sunny day to enjoy and take as many photos as we wanted to which was all I – as a photographer wanted. It was definitely one of those perfect days to get married. Perfect days and pretty much perfect location! The Bingham Hotel located by the river in Richmond is a stunning little boutique hotel where you can get ready, get married and party with your new husband/wife, family and friends till early hours of next day. I really hope to come back one day.
